Ashantie comes to the cage accompanied by Congo Ashanti. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ashantie throws a leg kick but Mabuva sees it coming and moves out of range.
Ashantie has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Ashantie throws a head kick but Mabuva moves out of range.
Mabuva is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

It looks like Congo Ashantie has been cut.
Mabuva throws a jab when Ashantie was well out of range.
Ashantie lands with a nice body punch.
Mabuva misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Ashantie.

Mabuva lands a big right hand that sends Ashantie crashing to the mat! Mabuva stays standing though and waves Ashantie back to his feet!

Mabuva rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ashantie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Mabuva chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ashantie can pounce on him.
Mabuva connects with a stiff jab that staggers Ashantie - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
