PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Lancaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cho King Fang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lancaster kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Raekwon - Guillotine(Swordz). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King Fang tries for a takedown but Lancaster circles away easily
and Lancaster counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Lancaster has closed the distance and engaged King Fang in a clinch.
King Fang has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lancaster is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Lancaster breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

King Fang has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

King Fang is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King Fang postures up in Lancaster's guard and throws a big left but Lancaster blocks it.
King Fang throws a strike but Lancaster rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Lancaster slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Lancaster has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
