The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington closes the distance and clinches up with Gonzalez, looking for a takedown. Washington pushes Gonzalez against the cage but Gonzalez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Washington throws a nice looking combination but Gonzalez bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
