Giraffe comes to the cage accompanied by An epic song to hype you up because if you don't win you're fired.. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hales has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Hales is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hales tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Giraffe defends well and Hales ends up having to push Giraffe into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Giraffe shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hales eats them both and turns towards Giraffe to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Hales drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Hales looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
