Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Marlow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mason comes to the cage accompanied by Darude - Sandstorm. Reggie Marlow is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Mason!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Reggie Marlow!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Francis DeMontford and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marlow circles away from the clinch attempt.
Max Mason seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Marlow showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mason.
Marlow tries for a takedown but Mason sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Marlow throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mason's head.
Marlow avoids a punch combination nicely.
Marlow shoots in but no luck this time.
It looked like Mason was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Marlow.
Mason fails to land with a series of punches.

Marlow lands a big head kick that sends Mason tumbling to the mat! Marlow takes a step backwards and waves Mason back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Mason is rocked!


It looks like Max Mason has been cut.
Mason really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mason lands with a nice body punch.
Oh Mason is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nice uppercut lands for Mason. That snapped Marlow's head back.
Horrible takedown attempt by Marlow or perhaps it was just good defense by Mason, which made it look bad.
Mason seems to have got his legs back now.
Max Mason has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reggie Marlow.

Mason pushes Marlow up against the cage in a clinch.
Mason lands an elbow inside.
Mason has Marlow pressed against the cage, preventing Marlow from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Marlow on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Mason keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Marlow's efforts to push away.
Marlow looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Mason misses with a short punch on the inside.
A frustrated look appears on Marlow's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Mason lands a nice elbow.

Mason throws an elbow but it misses.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mason creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Marlow blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Marlow is trying to force a seperation but Mason has the dominant position.

Marlow tries to circle away but Mason has him pinned against the cage.
Marlow tries to break free but Mason pushes him back against the cage.
Mason is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Marlow is defending well for now.
Mason misses with an elbow strike.
Marlow avoiding damage as Mason throws knees to the body.
Mason misses with a hook to the ribs.
Mason misses with a knee strike.
Mason keeps control of Marlow as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Marlow takes a shot to the head.
Mason doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Mason just misses with a elbow thrown towards Marlow's brow.
Mason is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Marlow is defending well for now.

Mason tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Marlow escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Marlow has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mason finds it's way round the side to connect with Marlow's head.
Marlow gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Mason.
Marlow wants to clinch up but Mason keeps it at a distance.
Mason throws a nice looking combination but Marlow bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Max Mason is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Marlow throws a nice head kick!
Marlow tries a head kick but it misses.
Mason is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Marlow throws a sloppy head kick and Mason moves out of range easily.
Marlow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Good exchange - Mason coming out on top.

Marlow tries to keep at a distance but Mason has taken the fight into the clinch.
Mason pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Marlow's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Marlow misses with a head kick.
Marlow looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Mason avoids the head kick by Marlow.

Marlow tries to keep at a distance but Mason has taken the fight into the clinch.
Marlow wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Marlow's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Marlow walks into a stiff left hand from Mason.
A head kick misses from Marlow.
Mason thuds his right hand into Marlow's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Some wild striking there from Mason.
Mason falls off balance throwing a combination
and Marlow counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Marlow and Mason are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Marlow throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Mason into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Marlow knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Reggie Marlow!
