Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Walter Mattos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rimario Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Walter Mattos could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rimario Gracie's chin.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie shoots and misses
and Mattos counters with a series of strikes. Gracie will be more careful next time no doubt.
Mattos has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Quick Fingers BEST BANG FOR BUCK Gym in the buildup to the fight.
A left lands for Mattos.
Gracie shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mattos counters with a head kick. That will keep Gracie thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Mattos paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Gracie misses with a double jab.
Mattos looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Gracie feints the counter takedown.
Gracie throws a shot from downtown. Mattos moves away and avoids it.
Mattos appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Mattos fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Gracie has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Mattos gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gracie to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Gracie drops back looking for a leg! Mattos is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mattos manages to kick Gracie off! Gracie jumps back into Mattos's guard.

Mattos knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gracie on the ground.
Gracie sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Mattos's guard.

Gracie looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Gracie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mattos but Mattos pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Mattos throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily.

Gracie is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Mattos is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Mattos flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Gracie anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Mattos and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Gracie slips an arm under Mattos chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Gracie has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Gracie is squeezing on Mattos like an anaconda would it's prey. Mattos fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
