The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bill throws a right hand that misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Bill tries to clinch up.
Nurmagemedov throws a front kick aimed at Bill's knee but Bill avoids it well.
Nurmagemedov throws a leg kick but Bill sees it coming and moves out of range.
Bill shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Nurmagemedov but Nurmagemedov pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Bill walks into a stiff left hand from Nurmagemedov.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Bill checks a leg kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nurmagemedov throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nurmagemedov goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Nurmagemedov swats away the attempt to clinch by Bill.

Nurmagemedov ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Bill moves away.
Nurmagemedov gets a takedown into half guard.
Nurmagemedov wants to pass the guard but Bill is defending well.

Nurmagemedov is nestled in close to Bill, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Nurmagemedov tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bill knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Nurmagemedov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Nurmagemedov is looking to take a break and control but Bill is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Nurmagemedov perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Bill fails with a takedown attempt.

Khabib Nurmagemedov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nurmagemedov tries to land a leg kick but Bill saw it coming and moves away.
Bill tries to close the distance and clinch up but Nurmagemedov swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Bill shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Nurmagemedov as he avoids it easily.
Khabib Nurmagemedov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dollar Bill.
Bill doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Some bone on bone action there as Bill checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Nurmagemedov sizes up Bill with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Nurmagemedov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bill tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Nurmagemedov is in Bill's guard.
Nurmagemedov wants to pass the guard but Bill is keeping the position.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Nurmagemedov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That's time! Nurmagemedov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Bill keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bill dives in and grabs Nurmagemedov's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nurmagemedov pushes down on Bill's head and hops out.
Dollar Bill is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bill wants a takedown.
Bill tries for a takedown. No joy.
Khabib Nurmagemedov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dollar Bill.

Nurmagemedov pushes Bill back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch.
Bill is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Nurmagemedov pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Bill blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Bill is breathing heavily.

Nurmagemedov is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bill is defending well for now.

Both fighters working to control the clinch.
Bill tries to break free but Nurmagemedov pushes him back against the ropes.
Bill jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Nurmagemedov walks away with a smile on his face. Bill gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Bill gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Nurmagemedov lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bill has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bill and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Bill is rocked!
Nurmagemedov wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Bill is still on wobbly legs! Can Nurmagemedov finish him?
The fighters circle momentarily. Nurmagemedov darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Nurmagemedov pounces like a tiger and cracks Bill with a vicious hook! Bill is down but not out! Nurmagemedov follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
