Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Xanadu Newton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Lacroix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lacroix misses with a wild body shot.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Newton.
Lacroix keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Lacroix connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Newton misses with a hook. Lacroix ducked under it nicely.
Lacroix throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Newton is looking to clinch but Lacroix is avoiding it.

Newton catches Lacroix with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Lacroix cracks Newton with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Lacroix on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Newton shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Newton wants to work for an arm triangle but Lacroix is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Newton has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Lacroix. Oh but Newton has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Lacroix goes limp - he's gone! Newton jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
