It looked like Michaels was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Polden.

Polden lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Kris Polden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Michaels throws a shot from downtown. Polden moves away and avoids it.

Polden closes the distance and pushes Michaels back into the cage.

Polden lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Michaels circles away quickly and effectively.

Michaels has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Polden connects with a crisp jab.

Polden lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Michaels goes down and covers up as Polden starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kris Polden!
