Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sid Morrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quentyn Martell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Morrison's entrance music is The Clocks. A fine choice. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morrison gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Martell.
Morrison walks into a left hand.
Martell jabs Morrison to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Morrison shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Martell sprawls well. Martell wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Morrison gets slowly back to his feet.
Martell looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Martell scores with a nice head shot.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head kick misses from Martell.
Martell lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Morrison shoots in but Martell avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Martell swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Morrison shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Martell as he jumps to the side.

Martell scores with a sloppy right hand. Morrison should have avoided that one.
Martell swings for the body but Morrison moves out of range.

Morrison bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Morrison throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Morrison thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Martell is trying to get back to half guard.

Morrison in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Morrison wants to lay and pray for a moment but Martell keeps working.
Morrison has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Martell wants to control but Morrison postures up.
Morrison misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Morrison is trying to get an arm triangle but Martell is defending well.
Morrison wants to lay and pray for a moment but Martell keeps working.

Morrison grinds an elbow into Martell's temple.
Martell wants to get back to his feet but Morrison drags him back down.

Martell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Morrison. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Morrison tries to move to mount but Martell blocks the move with his legs.
Martell tries to buck Morrison off but Morrison is having none of it.

Morrison is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Martell knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Martell is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Morrison asserts his dominance and retains side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Morrison wants to control for a moment but Martell uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.

A close round but Quentyn Martell will probably get the nod.
That's time! Morrison's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Morrison shoots for a double leg takedown but Martell sprawls well. He's pushed Morrison's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Morrison takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Martell connects with a leg kick. Morrison looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Martell misses with a looping left.
Morrison on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Martell wants to slow Morrison down by chopping away at his legs.
Martell throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Morrison stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Morrison throws a wild hook but Martell just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Morrison gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the ropes! The referee jumps in - Martell raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
