Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Bruce Alvarez Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buff Dickens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banner comes to the cage accompanied by Raining Blood by Slayer. Dickens has chosen Trick Daddy - Shut Up as his entrance music. Buff Dickens has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab lands there for Dickens.
Dickens throws a nice outside leg kick.
A slow jab from Dickens misses its intended target.
Dickens chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Banner tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Dickens was well out of range. Poor timing from Banner.
Dickens swings for the body but Banner moves out of range.
Banner walks into a left hand.
Banner fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Banner has his takedown stuffed
and Dickens counters with a slapping leg kick.
Dickens throws a head kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Banner keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Dickens is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Banner's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Banner's back!

Dickens is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Banner is defending well though. Dickens let's go of the attempt for now.
You can see the frustration on Banner's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Banner rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Dickens thows a huge punch but Banner dodges it nicely.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Dickens lands a nice short elbow.
Dickens is looking to take a break and control but Banner is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Banner trying to get back to full guard but Dickens takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Banner tries to hold on but Dickens pushes him away.
Banner regains half guard.

Dickens connects with a couple of short punches.
Dickens is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Banner bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dickens's guard.

Dickens escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Banner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Dickens is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Banner lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Banner postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Banner postures up in Dickens's guard and throws a big left but Dickens blocks it.
Dickens avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Dickens is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Banner is aware though and is defending well.
Banner stands up over Dickens, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Banner looking to sit in guard and control but Dickens gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Banner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Dickens doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Banner counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
The fight stays on the outside here - Banner looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bruce Alvarez Banner is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
No joy there for Banner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dickens is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Banner shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Dickens has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Banner doesn't defend quickly enough and Dickens has managed to lock this one up! Can Banner escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Dickens on a fantastic submission victory.
