The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maslow throws a good cross that connects.

It looks like Santiago Da Silva has been cut.
Vladislav Maslow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maslow lands a glancing blow to the side of Da Silva's head.
Da Silva thows a left - swing and a miss!
Maslow connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Da Silva momentarily.

Da Silva definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Maslow lands with a right hand.
Maslow is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Maslow.
Da Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Maslow swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Da Silva chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Maslow can pounce on him.
Maslow lands a nice shot that snaps Da Silva's head back.

and Maslow makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Maslow turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Da Silva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Maslow to score with a decent uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Santiago Da Silva's cut is getting worse.
Da Silva takes a shot right to the bread basket.

Donk. Maslow catches Da Silva right on the button with a cross.

Maslow drops Da Silva with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Da Silva looks back up at him and smiles so Maslow waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Da Silva is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Oh Da Silva is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Da Silva walks straight into a right hand from Maslow - that's dropped him! Maslow jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Da Silva from any more punishment! Da Silva complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
