Ascension 316 PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Shinichi Onizuka and Cooper Abreu. Onizuka comes into the arena with Nate Dogg - First We Pray blaring out of the sound system. Abreu has chosen Die for Metal as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Onizuka throws a body punch but Abreu moves out of range.

Shinichi Onizuka spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
Cooper Abreu spoke after the fight, saying 'I tried something different this time, but the fact is if I can't be the best I think it's time for me to retire. Thank you all for the fun times.'.
