Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sinbad Baba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JJ Thomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Baba might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to King of Seven Seas. Thomas has chosen Linkin Park - In the End as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that JJ Thomas was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baba lands a jab to the head.
Baba throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Baba has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Thomas pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Baba back to the cage. Thomas follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Thomas has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Nice takedown defense from Baba. No joy for Thomas on that attempt.
Thomas throws a right and a left that both miss.
Thomas misses with a body shot.
Baba connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Thomas throws out a loose jab but Baba uses good head movement to avoid it.
Thomas takes a swing at Baba's ribcage but misses.
Baba misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Baba as he jumps to the side.
Thomas fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Baba manages to avoid it.
Baba misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Baba works the jab nicely.
Thomas lands an overhand right.
Thomas shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Baba defends it nicely.
Sinbad Baba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of JJ Thomas.

Thomas misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Baba.
Sinbad Baba is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Baba uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Thomas.
Thomas bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Thomas throws a leg kick but Baba sees it coming and moves out of range.
Thomas bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Baba's head.
Thomas fails with the takedown.
Baba looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Baba lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Thomas fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Baba as he jumps to the side.
Thomas digs a good body shot into Baba's ribs.
A chopping leg kick lands by Baba.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Thomas throws a hook but Baba avoids it easily.

Baba scores with a jab. Thomas acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Thomas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Baba.
Thomas lands a nice shot that snaps Baba's head back.
Thomas looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Baba is fending him off so far but Thomas persists. Nope, Baba circles away and we're back to standing.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Thomas! But no joy.

Baba takes one to the chin there.
Thomas ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Baba moves away.
Thomas takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Thomas throws a jab but it's blocked by Baba.
It looked like Baba was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Baba throws a series of punches but Thomas moves out of range.
Thomas darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Thomas connects with a crisp jab.
Thomas misses with a body shot.
Baba fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Thomas has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Baba lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Thomas throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Baba sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Baba connects with the punch.
Thomas lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
A jab from Thomas misses.
Thomas tries for a takedown but Baba sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Baba swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Baba misses with a few strikes there.
Thomas loads up on a big right hand but Baba slips the punch.
A little feinted left hand from Baba on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Baba throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Thomas colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Baba as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Thomas is left battered and dazed whilst Baba and his camp cheer!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sinbad Baba!

A very excited looking Sinbad Baba made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
