Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Garrett Hart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Travwan Reid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Travwan Reid has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Garrett Hart's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Garrett Hart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Travwan Reid!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Chris Dean and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hart blocks a leg kick.
Hart tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Reid manages to circle out of the way.

Reid throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hart tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Reid is in Hart's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hart is on top in guard.

Hart postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Hart working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Reid's head.
Hart connects with a couple of short punches.
Reid really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hart. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hart chips away with some ground and pound.
Hart passes Reid's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Hart has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hart wants to take a breather but Reid is having none of it.

Reid is not content to let Hart control the position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Hart drops back, looking for a kneebar! Reid looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Reid looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Reid!


Reid thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hart wants to control but Reid postures up.
Hart gets back to half guard.
Hart is trying to get back to full guard.

Hart moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Reid's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hart tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Hart wants to hit a switch here but Reid passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Hart there!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Reid looking to control and managing it successfully.

That was a close round but I would say that Garrett Hart will probably get the nod.

Reid shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Reid showed some decent athleticism there.

Reid throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hart was covering up waiting for the punch and Reid finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Travwan Reid showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Reid has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
