Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Freddie Glass!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Darren Bloodlust!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Damien Edna and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bloodlust misses with a wild combination.
Glass throws a big counter combination but Bloodlust scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Bloodlust fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Glass drops down looking for a counter takedown but Bloodlust sprawls and moves away.
Bloodlust lands a jab-cross combination.
Bloodlust misses with a series of wild punches.
Glass with a lazy takedown attempt
and Bloodlust cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Glass misses with a takedown attempt - Bloodlust sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bloodlust lands a jab to Glass's midsection.
Bloodlust throws a right and a left that Glass avoids nicely.
Glass slips a jab and a cross from Bloodlust.
Bloodlust misses with a few strikes there.
Bloodlust will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Glass fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Freddie Glass. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Glass darts in looking for a takedown but Bloodlust gets double underhooks and turns Glass into the cage.
Glass throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bloodlust throws a combination. Glass tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Glass chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Bloodlust can pounce on him.
Bloodlust fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Glass tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Bloodlust throws a series of punches but Glass moves out of range.
Glass really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Bloodlust fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Glass to the ground. Bloodlust is now in Glass's guard.
Bloodlust working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bloodlust being controlled here momentarily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Glass looking to control.
Bloodlust is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Glass is controlling Bloodlust's posture.
Bloodlust trying to control but Glass is working from the bottom.
Glass is trying to keep Bloodlust in close.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Bloodlust will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Glass misses with a takedown attempt
and Bloodlust counters with a three punch combo that has Glass backing up. Glass nods at Bloodlust to acknowledge the strikes.
Glass throws a leg kick but Bloodlust checks it.
Bloodlust scores with a nice head shot.

Bloodlust shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.


Glass is rocked!

Bloodlust maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Glass could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Bloodlust has cracked it and Glass is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Bloodlust!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Darren Bloodlust!
