The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Attempt takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Silva keeps the fight on the outside.
Silva avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Attempt misses with a hook.
Silva lands with a nice body punch.
First Attempt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silva feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Attempt's calf.
Silva swats away the attempt to clinch by Attempt.
Attempt tries for a takedown but Silva sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

I was talking to Silva's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Attempt changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Silva fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Anderson Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of First Attempt.
Attempt shoots in looking for a takedown. Silva tries to sprawl out of it but Attempt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Silva manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
