Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richard Durant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paddy Tate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Richard Durant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Paddy Tate!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Chris Edwards and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durant tries for a takedown but Tate circles away easily
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Durant dives in and grabs Tate's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tate pushes down on Durant's head and hops out.
Durant looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Durant misses with a takedown attempt
and Tate counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Tate has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Durant. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Durant shoots in for a takedown but Tate shows good takedown defense.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Durant.
Tate throws a counter combo.
Durant shoots for a double leg takedown but Tate sprawls well. He's pushed Durant's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tate is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Durant.

Durant fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Tate to the ground. Durant is now in Tate's guard.

Durant throws a strike but Tate rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Tate looking to sit in guard and control but Durant gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Tate is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Durant has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Durant wants to free his trapped foot but Tate is holding on for dear life with his legs.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Durant postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Tate lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Durant fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Tate avoids it really well and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Durant's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Durant misses with a straight right.
Tate scores with a jab to the head.
Nice sprawl there from Tate as Durant shoots in.
Tate turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Durant takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Durant waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Tate.

Tate comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Durant slips a straight right by Tate.
Durant shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Tate as he avoids it easily.
Tate steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Durant.
Tate appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
Nice shot by Tate.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Durant backing away here, and Tate unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Durant walks forward, straight into a front kick from Tate.
Tate throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Durant looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Tate is fending him off so far but Durant persists. Nope, Tate circles away and we're back to standing.

and Tate counters with a straight right hand.

and Tate cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Durant falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tate connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.


Durant is rocked!
Tate drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Durant right on the button. Durant goes down! Tate follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Tate gets the win via TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paddy Tate!
After the big win, Paddy Tate made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors Walhalla Clothing and telling the interviewer how much he loves him.
