The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brasi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Voss on the side of the head.
Voss throws a low kick but Brasi avoids it.
Voss tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Voss fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Brasi throws a poor cross that misses
and Voss counters with a leg kick.
Voss lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Brasi checks the leg kick nicely there.
Voss throws a low kick, looking for Brasi 's leg but Brasi calmly moves out of range.
Brasi tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Voss manages to circle out of the way.
Brasi misses with a body shot
and Voss counters with a nice low kick that buckles Brasi 's knee momentarily.
Brasi misses with a hook.
Voss staying out of range there.
Brasi just misses with a punch to the body.
A slapping body kick lands there for Voss.
Brasi is breathing heavily.
Voss misses with a leg kick.
Brasi on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Voss lands a nice looking kick to the body. Brasi takes a step back to recover.

Alex Voss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Voss tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Brasi is able to avoid easily.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Voss lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Brasi has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Brasi and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Voss throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Brasi .

It looks like Luca Brasi has been cut.
Brasi has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Voss.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Voss lands a big head kick that sends Brasi tumbling to the mat! Voss takes a step backwards and waves Brasi back to his feet - he wants the finish!
