The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolehmainen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Carey throws a sloppy head kick
and Kolehmainen counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Carey is looking for a sweep. Kolehmainen is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Kolehmainen is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Carey doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kolehmainen.
Carey trying to get back to full guard but Kolehmainen takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kolehmainen trying to control but Carey is having none of it.
Kolehmainen working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Carey looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Kolehmainen! Submission of the night perhaps?
