Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Garrett Hart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dr Dex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Garrett Hart!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dr Dex!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Ben Hemmingworth.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dex throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hart.
Hart wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Dex throws a low kick, looking for Hart's leg but Hart calmly moves out of range.
Hart is looking to counter punch.
Hart tries to close the distance and clinch but Dex swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Dex with the counter takedown but Hart avoids it easily.

Hart tries to keep at a distance but Dex has taken the fight into the clinch.

Dex is trying to trip Hart. He has hold of a leg but Hart is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Dex persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Hart wants to sweep here but Dex controlling him for the moment.
Dex must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hart pulls Dex in close to his closed guard and prevents Dex from doing any damage or advancing position.

Dex drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Hart dives on top into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hart can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Dex controls the pace.
Hart is trying to control the position but Dex postures up.
Hart wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Hart throws a sloppy head kick and Dex moves out of range easily.
Hart blocks a head kick by Dex.
Hart appears to be looking for a big counter.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Dex has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hart has Dex pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dex manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

That's time! Hart's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Hart is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Dex gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Dr Dex showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dex keeps control of Hart as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Dex breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Dr Dex is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well Dex has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
