The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Ivanow as Kuli shoots in.
A big right from Kuli misses.
Ivanow throws a hook but Kuli avoids it easily.
Ivanow throws out a loose jab but Kuli uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ivanow takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Kuli wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Kuli cracks Ivanow with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Ivanow misses with a body shot.
Ivanow misses the shot to the body.
Kuli is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Ivanow looks to land a right hand but Kuli moved out of range.
Ivanow swings away with a leg kick that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kuli shoots in and drives through. Ivanow sprawls well.
Ivanow fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Vanka Ivanow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ivanow swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ivanow tries to clinch there but Kuli circles away.
Kuli tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Kuli ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Ivanow tries to work over Kuli's front leg with a kick but Kuli checks it.
Ivanow fails to land the takedown.
Kuli shoots in and drives through. Ivanow sprawls well.
Vanka Ivanow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Feta Kuli.

Kuli closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Kuli is looking to take a break and control but Ivanow is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Kuli has an Americana. Ivanow didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Kuli is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Kuli hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
