Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, David Reed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eric Silva!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed lands a front kick.

Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Reed, pushing him back against the cage.
Silva lands a left hand.
Silva lands a body punch.
Silva misses with a body punch.
Reed misses with a body punch.
Reed tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Silva pushes Reed back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Reed ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Reed no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Reed looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Reed has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
Silva sitting in guard here, content to control.
Reed is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Silva showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reed. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva throws a strike but Reed rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Reed thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Reed controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Reed trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Silva working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Reed.
Reed throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Silva works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Silva is looking to stand up but Reed isn't so interested in that idea.
Silva keeping moving, preventing Reed from controlling successfully.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Reed is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Silva has Reed up against the cage in a clinch.

Reed breaks the clinch.

Silva has taken the fight to the clinch.
Reed with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Silva lands with a right to the head.
Silva lands with a right to the head.
Reed tries to throw a body punch but Silva avoids it by throwing Reed back against the cage.
Reed with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Reed goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
A body shot lands from Silva.
Reed is breathing heavily.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Silva creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silva scores with a hook to the body.
Silva lands a body shot.
Silva lands a left hand that snaps the head of Reed backwards.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Silva.
A right handed body shot lands from Silva.
A nice left hand lands by Silva.
A right handed body shot lands from Silva.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Silva.
Nice body punch from Silva.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Silva.
Silva digs a right hand underneath Reed's ribcage. Reed let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Silva cracks Reed with a nice body shot.
Silva lands a nice uppercut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Silva scores with a shot to the side of Reed's head.
Silva lands a right hand.


Reed is rocked!
Silva creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Reed's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Reed drops to his knees and Silva pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Silva!
A victorious Eric Silva thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
In defeat, David Reed stepped up to the mic, saying 'I deserve that loss!'.
