Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tanner Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Sooners Fight Song. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Williams.
Williams throws an overhand right that lands on Jackson's shoulder, as Jackson tries to avoid the shot.
Jackson takes one to the side of the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Williams as he jumps to the side.
Jackson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Williams throws a jab but it's blocked by Jackson.

Williams waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Jackson.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Williams as he avoids it easily.

Horrible takedown by Jackson or perhaps it was just good defense by Williams which made him look bad.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Jackson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jackson showed some decent athleticism there.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Williams loads up on a big right hand but Jackson slips the punch.
Jackson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jackson slips under a jab.
Jackson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Williams is fending him off so far but Jackson persists. Nope, Williams circles away and we're back to standing.

Williams throws a hook to the side of Jackson's head but Jackson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Williams gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Jackson shoots for a double leg takedown but Williams sprawls well. He's pushed Jackson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Tanner Jackson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jackson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jackson lands in his opponent's guard.

Jackson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Williams keeps moving.
