Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aristotle Polidori (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Anzar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anzar has chosen The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Anzar enables Polidori to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Anzar manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Polidori content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Polidori engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Anzar wants to stand up but Polidori is controlling him.

Polidori has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Polidori is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Polidori tries to free his leg and advance position but Anzar is retaining full guard.

Polidori postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Anzar wants to get back to his feet but Polidori is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Anzar takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Polidori is staying tight to Anzar's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Polidori has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Polidori lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Polidori works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Anzar tries to escape but Polidori is in control.

Anzar on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Anzar felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Polidori has an Americana. Anzar didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Polidori is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Polidori hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
