Simon scores with a takedown into Mullen's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Simon gets to his feet. Mullen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Simon shoots in and bounces Mullen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Mullen tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Mullen is striking but Simon is not phased and passes to half guard.
Simon works his way into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mullen throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land.
Mullen is looking to reverse the position.
Mullen throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Simon wants to control but Mullen is keeping him busy.

Simon lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Simon connects with a bit shot that sees Mullen covering up! More strikes from Simon and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Simon is our winner by TKO!
