Griever is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by X-Files Theme. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Taro Takaoka and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bane just misses with a punch to the body.
Griever throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
A head kick misses from Griever.
Griever pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Griever blocks a jab.
Griever raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Griever misses with a hook. Bane ducked under it nicely.
Griever misses with a straight right.
Bane misses with a series of wild punches.
Griever tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
An attempted straight right counter from Bane misses the target.
Bane thows a left - swing and a miss!
Griever is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bane wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Griever takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Bane throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Bane scores with a nice right hand.
Bane tries to score a power double leg takedown but Griever sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bane somewhat.
Bane has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Griever takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Zell Griever has been cut.
We've been informed that Griever has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Bane fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Griever manages to avoid it.
Decent striking displayed by Bane there.
Griever scores with a sloppy right hand. Bane should have avoided that one.
It looks like Lucas Bane has been cut.
Bane on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Bane misses with an uppercut
and Griever counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
