Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Waylon Olsen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Danilo Veloso!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Olsen closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Olsen lands in his opponent's guard.
Veloso wants to stand up but Olsen is controlling him.
Olsen trying to control the position from guard on top but Veloso is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Veloso looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Veloso isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Olsen stacks Veloso on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Olsen!

Olsen is trying to get an arm triangle but Veloso is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Veloso is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Olsen tries for a kimura but Veloso is defending well.
Veloso misses with a strike from the bottom.
Veloso is trying to escape the position but Olsen is controlling the position.
You can see the frustration on Veloso's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Veloso is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Olsen asserts his dominance and retains side control.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Olsen tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Olsen is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Veloso knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
A control attempt from Veloso but he's now mounted!

Veloso keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Olsen swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Veloso is now in Olsen's guard. A big mistake from Olsen there, giving up the dominant position!
Olsen is pulling down on Veloso's head to control his posture.
Olsen wants to stand and escape but Veloso is having none of it.

Veloso wants to get up but he can't break Olsen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Olsen is adopting a defensive guard.
Olsen controls Veloso momentarily but Veloso frees himself.
Veloso trying to control the position from guard on top but Olsen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Veloso throws a big right hand that misses.
Olsen looking for a sweep. Not yet Olsen, not yet.

Olsen is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Veloso presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.
Olsen is breathing heavily.
Veloso looking to slow down the pace here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Olsen jumps into guard, dragging Veloso to the mat.
Veloso forces his way into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Veloso throws a lazy head kick

and Olsen holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Olsen slows down the pace here.
Olsen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Veloso tries to stall but Olsen uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

It looks like Waylon Olsen has been cut.
Veloso is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Veloso misses with a shot to the kidneys.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Veloso lands a good knee to the midsection. Olsen won't want to take too many of those.
Veloso wants a takedown but no success here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Veloso obliges.
Veloso lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Veloso is trying to maintain a safe position but Olsen gets an underhook and turns Veloso into the cage.
Veloso lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Veloso looking to slow down the pace here.
Veloso has Olsen pressed against the cage, preventing Olsen from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Veloso wants to break the clinch but can't.
Olsen takes an elbow to the forehead.
A short right from Veloso on the inside.
Veloso keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Olsen's efforts to push away.
Veloso misses with a hook to the ribs.

Veloso stalling in the clinch but Olsen improves position.
Veloso fails to pull guard.
Veloso tries to pull guard but Olsen holds him up against the cage and eventually Veloso drops back down to his feet.
Waylon Olsen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Danilo Veloso.
Veloso is trying to pull guard but Olsen has him pressed against the cage.
Veloso misses with the head strike.
Olsen jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Veloso walks away with a smile on his face. Olsen gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Veloso gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Veloso is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Olsen is keeping busy.
Olsen tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Olsen jumps guard and drags Veloso to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Veloso throwing strikes but missing.
Veloso stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Olsen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Veloso looking to sit in guard and control but Olsen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Veloso keeping moving, preventing Olsen from controlling successfully.
Olsen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Veloso on the ground.
Veloso manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Olsen manages to get himself to full guard.

Waylon Olsen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Olsen is pulling down on Veloso's head to control his posture.
Veloso working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Olsen controlling the position.
Veloso wants to control from the top but Olsen keeps moving.
Olsen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Olsen working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Veloso.

Olsen pushes Veloso off and gets back to his feet.

Veloso moves into the clinch.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Olsen gets underhooks to prevent Veloso's takedown attempt.
Olsen tries to circle away but Veloso has him pinned against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Danilo Veloso showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Waylon Olsen's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Veloso rushes Olsen with punches - Olsen moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Olsen goes down! Veloso follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Danilo Veloso!
