And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 33 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leeroy Russo!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Choi moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
A punch lands to the side of Russo 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Choi jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Choi keeps the fight on the outside.

Russo moves into range and clinches up with Choi.
Russo doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Choi throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Russos head.
Russo misses with a short punch on the inside.
Russo with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head.
Russo misses with the head strike.
Choi manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Russo wants to stand but Choi has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Choi wants to improve his position but instead Russo has moved into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that K.J. Choi will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Russo tries to close the distance and clinch up but Choi swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Russo takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Choi scores with a decent looking hook.
Choi is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Russo can do to turn this around?

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Choi here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Choi is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Russo gets underhooks to prevent Choi's takedown attempt.
Russo lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Choi backwards.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

K.J. Choi decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
In defeat, Leeroy Russo stepped up to the mic, saying 'Damn these kids keeps getting quicker and stronger. I'm not sure how many fights I got left in me, but I'll give it my all until I can't anymore!'.
