Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva closes this distance looking for a takedown but Penn circles away.
Penn throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.

Silva fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Penn, pushing him back against the cage.

Silva drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Penn gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Silva had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Penn is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Silva Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Penn's back instead.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
