Fretwell tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Fretwell has hold of Hate's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hate manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Hate pushes Fretwell off but Fretwell dives into side control.
Hate gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Fretwell tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hate is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Hate trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
