Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marek Strzelba!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Adam Kalsoevic!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strzelba has a takedown stuffed.
Strzelba shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kalsoevic pinned against the cage. Kalsoevic gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kalsoevic gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Kalsoevic trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Kalsoevic kicks Strzelba off and gets to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Strzelba goes for a double leg but Kalsoevic avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kalsoevic continues to drive forward.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marek Strzelba. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kalsoevic shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Strzelba napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Strzelba is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kalsoevic is controlling him well.

Strzelba is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kalsoevic asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Kalsoevic decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Strzelba shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kalsoevic but Kalsoevic pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Strzelba lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Strzelba.

Kalsoevic manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Strzelba on his heels. He'll look to pass Strzelba's guard now, I'm sure.
Kalsoevic seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Kalsoevic stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Strzelba to get to his feet.

Kalsoevic gets control of Strzelba's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kalsoevic will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Kalsoevic is trying to counter with his kicks.

Kalsoevic gets caught flat footed, as Strzelba shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Strzelba is breathing heavily.
Kalsoevic has a closed guard, preventing Strzelba from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kalsoevic throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Kalsoevic pulls Strzelba in close to prevent any damage.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Kalsoevic manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
Strzelba is looking to take this one to the mat.

Strzelba goes for a takedown in the clinch but Kalsoevic prevents it.

Kalsoevic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A combination from Strzelba does no damage.

Kalsoevic drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Strzelba is trying to get back to half guard.
Strzelba prevents Kalsoevic from moving into mount.

Kalsoevic stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Strzelba fails with the takedown.
Kalsoevic throws a right and a left that both miss.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adam Kalsoevic dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Strzelba is trying to pull guard but Kalsoevic has him pressed against the cage.

Kalsoevic is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Strzelba is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Marek Strzelba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Strzelba shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kalsoevic as he jumps to the side.

Strzelba shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kalsoevic can do anything to dispel that myth.
Strzelba is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Kalsoevic wants to improve his position but Strzelba is controlling well.
Adam Kalsoevic has got the better of the ground game so far.
Strzelba sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kalsoevic defending well though.
Kalsoevic is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Strzelba seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kalsoevic does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Kalsoevic keeps trying to improve his position.
Kalsoevic is looking to escape.
Strzelba wants to stand but Kalsoevic has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kalsoevic wants to free his trapped foot but Strzelba is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Kalsoevic seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Strzelba is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kalsoevic pulls his head out easily.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kalsoevic working his ground and pound in the gym.
Strzelba tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kalsoevic blocks the strikes from Strzelba.
Strzelba pushes Kalsoevic off looking to stand but Kalsoevic dives back in and keeps control.
Strzelba throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Kalsoevic manages to pass to side control.
Strzelba is trying to work for a sweep but Kalsoevic has mounted him!

Kalsoevic looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Kalsoevic has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Kalsoevic scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Strzelba?
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kalsoevic cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Kalsoevic swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
