Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erki Turk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antero Kannas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Turk's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Fischerspooner - Never Win (Benny Benassi remix) . These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turk doesn't manage to clinch there - Kannas circles away.
Kannas misses with an uppercut.
Turk shoots for a takedown but Kannas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kannas bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Turk's head backwards.
Kannas displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Turk.
Kannas works the jab nicely.
Kannas scores with a decent looking hook.
Kannas clinches up with Turk and pushes him back against the cage.
Turk is trying to drag Kannas to the mat but Kannas just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Erki Turk. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kannas is fighting to break Turk's control of his arms but Turk is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Kannas steps into range and cracks Turk with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Turk flops backwards and Kannas dives into his guard looking to finish!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Turk is on top in guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Turk's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Kannas looking to hit a scissor sweep but Turk is one step ahead there.
Turk has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kannas is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Turk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kannas swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kannas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Turk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kannas rushes Turk and presses him up against the cage.
Turk goes for a takedown attempt but Kannas pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Turk throws a head kick that misses.
Kannas wants to counter the offense by Turk and move into the clinch position.
Turk shoots for a takedown but Kannas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Turk takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Kannas has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kannas loads up on a big left hand. Turk felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Kannas looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Turk can't hide his disappointment, as Kannas celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Antero Kannas!
