Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane McLain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Konstantine Erokhin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Erokhin has chosen Russian national anthem by-HIM as his entrance music. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane McLain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Konstantine Erokhin!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McLain avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
McLain is looking for a counter combo.
McLain has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Erokhin looks to score with a jab to the body but McLain is just out of range.

and Erokhin cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
McLain takes a jab right on the kisser.
Erokhin misses with a series of wild punches.
Erokhin fails with an attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McLain rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and McLain takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Erokhin moves away from the strike by McLain.
McLain misses with a looping right.
Erokhin misses with a wild combination.
It looked like McLain wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Erokhin takes one to the chin there.
McLain lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Erokhin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McLain.
McLain misses with a double jab
and Erokhin counters with a stiff right hand.
Shane McLain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McLain looks to throw the jab but Erokhin is out of range.
McLain throws a hook to the side of Erokhin's head but Erokhin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Erokhin listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
McLain swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Erokhin.
McLain misses with a few strikes there.
McLain lands with a big right hook that stumbles Erokhin - he's out on his feet here! McLain follows up with another monster hook that separates Erokhin from consciousness! Erokhin falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! McLain stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Shane McLain!
Shane McLain very nearly forgot to thank GREEN!160 amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
Konstantine Erokhin was interviewed post fight and said 'Blabbers something in russian'.
