The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bamh misses the shot to the body.

A looping hook to the body misses from Bamh. Schulz does a little dance to reset his feet.

Bamh throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Schulz was covering up waiting for the punch and Bamh finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Bamh drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bamh jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Schulz has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Bamh goes for a double leg but Schulz avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Schulz continues to drive forward.

Bamh takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Schulz can do anything to dispel that myth.

Bamh has hold of Schulz's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Schulz manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Schulz is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Bamh has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Schulz is in real trouble here. Bamh gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Schulz is tapping out! Bamh wins by rear naked choke!

Ngoc Bamh decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
