Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Danny Luna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Damian Go (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Damian Go!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Andrew Berry and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Go instigates a clinch.

Go has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Luna clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Luna can't escape the position.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Go controlling the positon.
Go misses with a punch to the head.
Go is hanging on to Luna's back as he tries to escape.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Go missing with strikes from the back.

Go is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
You can see the frustration on Luna's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Go working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Go is looking for the choke from the back position but Luna is controlling his hands well.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Luna is in a bad position with Go working for a choke. Luna manages to spin nicely into guard and the danger is over for the moment.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Luna chips away with some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Luna scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Go avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Go is trying to control the position but Luna postures up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Luna trying to control the position from guard on top but Go is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Luna tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Go manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Luna stands up over Go, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

It looks like Danny Luna has been cut.

Go misses with a series of wild punches.
Luna seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Go tries to clinch but Luna moves out of range.

Go fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Luna to the ground. Go is now in Luna's guard.
Luna will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Go stands and steps away. Luna gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Go changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Luna looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Luna is not content to let Go control the position.
Go advances to full mount.
Luna sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Go controlling the pace.
Go missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Go thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Luna looking for submissions off his back.

Go throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Luna regains full guard. Nicely done.
Luna lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Luna is looking to work some ground and pound but Go has wrist control.

Luna lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Luna throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Go works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Go is trying to keep Luna in close.
Luna working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Go seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Go has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Luna moves in looking to clinch but Go pushes him off.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Go, right into the meat.

Go moves into the clinch.
Go has Luna pressed against the cage, preventing Luna from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Luna escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
A head kick misses from Go.
Go throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Go. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Go is breathing heavily.
Luna wants to clinch.

Go bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Go decides to stand up, so the ref orders Luna to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Damian Go showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Go shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Luna's guard.
Go is looking to work some ground and pound but Luna has wrist control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Go closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

An elbow from Go crashes against the mat.
Go sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Luna is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Luna gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Go throws some wild stikes that Luna manages to avoid easily.
Luna throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing.
Luna squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Go lands a big elbow.

Go trying to control but Luna is having none of it.
Luna sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Go has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Go is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Go is trying to control. Luna wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Go seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Luna is staying active underneath Go, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Luna throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Luna is looking to stand up but Go isn't so interested in that idea.
Danny Luna has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Damian Go is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Go gets to his feet - Luna follows without any prompting.

Damian Go comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Go has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
