Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Lamb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Poddubny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lamb lands a jab to the nose.
Poddubny looks for the body kick but Lamb saw that one coming.

Poddubny gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Lamb wants to break free but Poddubny has control.
Lamb tries to circle away but Poddubny has him pinned against the cage.

Poddubny has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Lamb regains guard immediately.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

It looked like Lamb was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Lamb can't escape the position.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Poddubny feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Poddubny won't allow Lamb to get back to his feet.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Poddubny. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Lamb looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Poddubny has picked Lamb up and slammed him! Lamb can't keep hold of the triangle and Poddubny manages to pass to side control!

Lamb is trying to defend against the choke here but Poddubny has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Poddubny Tightens the hold and Lamb taps out furiously! Poddubny displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
