Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matias Salminen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Salminen comes to the cage accompanied by Down With the Sickness. Steve Austin is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Austin!
Salminen could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Austin misses with a takedown attempt - Salminen sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Austin has a takedown stuffed.
An attempted straight right counter from Salminen misses the target.
Austin shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Salminen as he avoids it easily.
Matias Salminen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Austin.
Austin swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Salminen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Austin won't be happy with that.
Salminen tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Austin is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Salminen has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Salminen lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Austin down.
Salminen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Salminen in side control lands a decent elbow.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Salminen cracks Austin with a big right hand but Austin just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Austin is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Salminen has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Austin is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Salminen yanks on the arm and Austin is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Salminen.
