The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garrett will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Garrett scores with a jab to the head.
Garrett pivots, looking for a leg kick but Pearson is out of range and Garrett settles back down.
Pearson moves out of range as Garrett strikes.
Pearson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Garrett tries to land a front kick but Pearson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Garrett takes a swing at Pearson's ribcage but misses.
Garrett clobbers Pearson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Garrett bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Pearson is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
