The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Dmitry Maklakov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lux fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gaines checks a leg kick.
Gaines clinches up with Lux and pushes him back against the cage.

and Gaines counters with a shoot takedown. Lux fights it but they end up in guard.

Lux pulls Gaines in close to prevent any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gaines swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lux is now in Gaines's guard. A big mistake from Gaines there, giving up the dominant position!
Gaines manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lux manages to get himself to full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Gaines rushes Lux and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
