And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Matty Redert!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Reed Andrews and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redert moves away from the strike by Valeron.
Redert looks to score with a jab to the body but Valeron is just out of range.
Valeron rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Redert moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Valeron has been working on his boxing with his coaches at ELITE GYM 40CAP in the buildup to the fight.
Redert wants to slow Valeron down by chopping away at his legs.
Redert is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Redert.
Valeron loads up on a big right hand but Redert slips the punch.
Valeron tries to land a front kick but Redert steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Redert is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Redert.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Redert. Valeron shrugs it off though.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Redert, right into the meat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Redert's corner calls for a 1-2. Redert obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Redert swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Valeron.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Redert lands a hook that snaps the head of Valeron backwards.
Redert misses with some punches.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Valeron.

Valeron breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Valeron takes a swing at Redert's ribcage but misses.
Redert steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Redert turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Redert throws a head kick that misses.
Redert blocks a head kick by Valeron.

Redert misses with a hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Valeron throws out a leg kick but Redert moves out of range and Valeron only half commits.
Redert looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.

and Valeron cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Redert dips to his left and cracks Valeron with an uppercut!
Valeron throws a leg kick but Redert moved away.

Redert lands a really nice looking cross but Valeron seems unphased.

Redert looks to land a body kick but Valeron moved away.
Valeron is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Redert staying out of range there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matty Redert dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

enabling Redert to counter with a crisp jab.

letting Redert counter with a right hand.
Oh Valeron is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Redert scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Valeron seems to have got his legs back now.
Redert moves out of range as Valeron strikes.
A nice combination there by Valeron.
Redert turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Redert blocks a leg kick.
Valeron misses with a jab, cross combination.
Redert throws a chopping leg kick but Valeron manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Redert counters with a head kick that drops Valeron to the mat! Valeron scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Valeron throws a quick counter kick to the body but Redert avoids it.
A slapping leg kick lands for Redert.
Redert connects with a jab.
Redert cracks Valeron with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Valeron tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Redert pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Valeron is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matty Redert!
A relieved looking Matty Redert thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
