Mattus has chosen My heart as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Tapda Mattus has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mattus scores with a takedown into Howard's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Howard is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
