Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sonny Bishop Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Oosthuizen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bishop Jr comes to the cage accompanied by The Desolation of Smaug. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Sonny Bishop Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Oosthuizen!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Donald Grub and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oosthuizen stuffs the takedown.
Oosthuizen waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bishop Jr.
Oosthuizen lands a jab-cross combination.

Bishop Jr shoots in and bounces Oosthuizen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Oosthuizen is looking to stand up but Bishop Jr isn't so interested in that idea.

Bishop Jr got a little sloppy there for a moment and Oosthuizen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bishop Jr has managed to get both his arms back between Oosthuizen's legs - danger averted.
Bishop Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Oosthuizen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bishop Jr scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Oosthuizen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bishop Jr's guard.


That's one minute gone in the round.
Oosthuizen slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Bishop Jr is looking for a sweep.
Oosthuizen tries to stand but Bishop Jr is controlling his head.
Bishop Jr has one of Oosthuizen's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.
Oosthuizen working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bishop Jr can't do much from the bottom here.
Bishop Jr is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Oosthuizen is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Oosthuizen tries for a kimura but Bishop Jr is defending well.

Oosthuizen decides to stand back up. Oosthuizen steps back and let's Bishop Jr get back to his feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Oosthuizen is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Oosthuizen ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Oosthuizen scores with a hook to the body. Bishop Jr takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Bishop Jr takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Tommy Oosthuizen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Oosthuizen fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bishop Jr on the side of the head.


It looks like Sonny Bishop Jr has been cut.
Bishop Jr on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Oosthuizen lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Oosthuizen jabs Bishop Jr to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Bishop Jr is breathing heavily.
Bishop Jr closes this distance looking for a takedown but Oosthuizen circles away.
Oosthuizen with a nice cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Oosthuizen scores with a jab. Bishop Jr acknowledges it with a nod of the head.


Bishop Jr is rocked!

Oosthuizen drops Bishop Jr with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Bishop Jr looks back up at him and smiles so Oosthuizen waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Oh Bishop Jr is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Oosthuizen shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Bishop Jr takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Oosthuizen sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Bishop Jr bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Tommy Oosthuizen!
Tommy Oosthuizen seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
In defeat, Sonny Bishop Jr stepped up to the mic, saying 'The better man won tonight'.
