Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dack Fayden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patryk Szczerbiec (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fayden has Szczerbiec up against the cage in a clinch.
Fayden looks to throw an elbow but misses.
Szczerbiec has a couple of punches blocked by Fayden.
Fayden has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Szczerbiec slows down the pace here.

Szczerbiec lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

It looks like Dack Fayden has been cut.

Szczerbiec breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Szczerbiec loads up on a big right hand but Fayden slips the punch.
Fayden fails to land with a series of punches.
Fayden swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Szczerbiec counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Szczerbiec throws a hook to the side of Fayden's head but Fayden sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Fayden misses with the combination.
Szczerbiec let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

Szczerbiec defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Fayden.

Fayden bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Fayden is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Szczerbiec knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Szczerbiec tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Fayden is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Szczerbiec knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Szczerbiec for a finish.

Fayden is cranking Szczerbiec's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Szczerbiec! He's tightened the choke and Szczerbiec is tapping out!
