The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jakiela shoots in and bounces Vaughn off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Jakiela would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Vaughn working a defensive guard but Jakiela manages to pass into side control anyway.
Vaughn manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Vaughn is trying to work for a kimura but Jakiela is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Vaughn is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Jakiela is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Vaughn is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jakiela defends it well.

Vaughn decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Vaughn tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jakiela manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jakiela drops Vaughn with a beautiful combination! Vaughn stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Jakiela is looking for the KO!

Vaughn is rocked!

It looks like Garland Vaughn has been cut.
Jakiela dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Vaughn. That did some damage!
Oh Vaughn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vaughn slaps away a takedown attempt from Jakiela, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Hopefully one of them does someth.. OOOHHHH!!!! Jakiela throws an absolute beast of a head kick! Vaughn is done! He's out cold, twisted and contorted up against the cage! Wow!

Mateusz Jakiela decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
