With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cameron Lennox!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Smith throws a series of punches but Lennox avoids them all with ease.
Smith misses the shot to the body.
The crowd cheers as Smith lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lennox doesn't seem phased though.
John Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smith uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Smith jabs at Lennox's body.
Smith misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Lennox fails with a takedown attempt.
Smith loads up on a big right hand but Lennox slips the punch.

Lennox misses with a takedown attempt - Smith sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lennox changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Lennox manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Lennox drops back, looking for a kneebar! Smith looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Smith looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Smith!
Lennox is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Lennox tries to buck Smith off but Smith is having none of it.
Lennox takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Lennox is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Lennox looks gassed!
Smith connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lennox some visible discomfort.
Smith works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Lennox on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Smith landing strikes.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lennox is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Smith pulls his head out easily.

Smith fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lennox looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Smith looks to land a right hand but Lennox moved out of range.
Lennox slips a jab and a cross from Smith.

Smith throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Lennox seems to have recovered his senses.
Lennox uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Smith.

and Smith counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lennox thinking.

Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lennox moves away.
Smith lands a really nice looking cross but Lennox seems unphased.
Smith looks to land a left hand but Lennox moved out of range nicely.

Smith scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Smith wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lennox keeps working.
Lennox manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Lennox wants to improve his position but Smith is controlling well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lennox works his way to full guard. Good work.

Lennox keeping moving, preventing Smith from controlling successfully.

Smith avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Smith stays in close to Lennox's body and controls the position.
Smith is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Smith accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Smith makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lennox looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Smith with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Lennox had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Smith is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Lennox Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Smith's back instead.
Smith manages to reverse the position and now he's in Lennox's guard. Nice work there by Smith.

Lennox has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Smith can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Smith looks to land a combination but Lennox avoids it well.

and Smith counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lennox shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Lennox takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Smith misses with an uppercut. Lennox saw that one coming.

Lennox shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Smith throws a body punch but Lennox moves out of range.

Smith misses with a hook. Lennox ducked under it nicely.

Smith ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lennox moves away.

Lennox fails with the takedown
and Smith makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Smith, as that shot connected.
Smith fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lennox manages to avoid it.

Smith is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lennox can do to turn this around?

Smith throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Lennox on the side of the head.

Lennox shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lennox was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Smith might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Lennox is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Smith can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Smith is in all sorts of trouble here.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Smith throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Smith comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Smith connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lennox. Lennox circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

John Smith is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Lennox is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Lennox is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Smith is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Smith has escaped and now he's on top!
Smith passes Lennox's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Lennox is trying to get back to full guard.
Cameron Lennox has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Smith looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

I would just about give that final round to Cameron Lennox.
I think Smith has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
