Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rick Vasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chow Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lee is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Fuel. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rick Vasquez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chow Lee!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lee shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Vasquez looking to control.

Vasquez is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lee is aware though and is defending well.
Vasquez keeping moving, preventing Lee from controlling successfully.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Vasquez holds on and takes a little breather.
Vasquez wants to stand up but Lee is controlling him.

Lee drops back looking for a leg! Vasquez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Vasquez manages to kick Lee off! Lee jumps back into Vasquez's guard.
Vasquez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lee slaps away a takedown attempt from Vasquez, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Vasquez is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lee's half guard.
Vasquez looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Lee has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Vasquez is working away from the top position though.

Vasquez is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Vasquez has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee tries to free his leg and advance position but Vasquez is retaining full guard.

Lee is fighting to break Vasquez's control of his arms but Vasquez is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vasquez is on top in guard.


Lee is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Vasquez slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Chow Lee will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Vasquez shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lee is trying to defend but Vasquez finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Vasquez not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Vasquez is stalling here. Lee is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Vasquez seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Lee has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Lee looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Vasquez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Lee has hold of Vasquez's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Vasquez seems comfortable defending it but Lee has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Vasquez is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Vasquez is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Lee couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Chow Lee!
Chow Lee decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
