Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eloy Bullock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Anthony Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Bullock on his heels. He'll look to pass Bullock's guard now, I'm sure.
Jackson throws a big elbow that misses.
Bullock will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bullock keeping moving, preventing Jackson from controlling successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson stands up over Bullock, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Jackson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Bullock wants to sweep but no luck.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bullock utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Jackson seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Bullock is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Jackson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bullock was covering up waiting for the punch and Jackson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Jackson drops back looking for a leg! Bullock is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bullock manages to kick Jackson off! Jackson jumps back into Bullock's guard.
Jackson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Bullock is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Jackson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Jackson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Jackson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Jackson looking to sit in guard and control but Bullock gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jackson pulls Bullock in close to prevent any damage.

Jackson is pulling down on Bullock's head to control his posture.

Jackson is looking for a triangle but Bullock pushes his legs off easily.
Bullock has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Bullock wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jackson can do anything to dispel that myth.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Jackson holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Jackson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Jackson creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Bullock really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Jackson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Bullock down.

Jackson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
A big shot lands for Jackson! That's hurt Bullock! Will he recover? Jackson fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Anthony Jackson!
