The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vaccaro fails with the takedown.
St Regis avoids the head kick by Vaccaro.
St Regis shoots in for a takedown but Vaccaro shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Vaccaro seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
A nice combination there by Vaccaro.
Vaccaro throws a sloppy head kick and St Regis moves out of range easily.

Vaccaro closes the distance and pushes St Regis back into the cage.

Vaccaro jumps guard and drags St Regis to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Vaccaro is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and St Regis defends well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vaccaro wants to control the position but St Regis says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

St Regis is looking for a kimura but Vaccaro is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for St Regis to get the leverage.

Vaccaro wants to control but St Regis is keeping busy.
St Regis prevents Vaccaro from improving his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

St Regis wants to pass to mount but Vaccaro is defending the position.

St Regis is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Vaccaro is just riding it out for now. St Regis eventually gives up the hold.
