The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papadakis shoots and misses
and Brody counters with a nice uppercut.
Papadakis gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Brody counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Brody scores with a nice head shot.
Brody misses with a hook. Papadakis ducked under it nicely.
Brody stuffs the takedown attempt from Papadakis. Papadakis gets slowly back to his feet.
Frank Brody has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kostas Papadakis.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A telegraphed right hand from Brody misses the target.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Brody, as that shot connected.

Papadakis shoots in looking for a takedown. Brody tries to sprawl out of it but Papadakis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Brody manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Frank Brody seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brody darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Brody avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Brody's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Brody duly obliges.

Brody is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Brody lands with a straight right. Papadakis didn't see that one coming.

Brody breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Brody sizes up Papadakis with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Papadakis steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Brody.
Brody throws a right hand that Papadakis ducks under and follows up with a left that Papadakis also avoids with ease.
Papadakis changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Papadakis seems to have recovered his senses.
The fighters circling - Brody throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Papadakis steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Brody.
Papadakis moves out of range as Brody strikes.

It looked like Brody wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Brody's jab looks to have found its range, popping Papadakis under the eye.
Brody looks to land a left hand but Papadakis moved out of range nicely.

and Brody connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The fighters circling - Papadakis throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That kick from Brody tenderised Papadakis's leg. Papadakis is trying to keep his angry face on.
Brody lands a jab to the nose.
Brody connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Brody scores with a hook.
Brody throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Papadakis sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Brody looks to throw the jab but Papadakis is out of range.
And Papadakis tries to counter it with a takedown but Brody pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Brody fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Papadakis has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Brody bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Papadakis's head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brody comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Papadakis slips under a jab.
Papadakis swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Brody keeps the fight on the outside.
Papadakis is looking to clinch.
Papadakis tries to move into range but Brody moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Brody throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Papadakis ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Brody circles away from the clinch attempt
and Brody counters with a nice uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Brody dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Oooooh!!! Brody has knocked Papadakis down with a huge combo! Brody steps away and waves a wobbly Papadakis back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
